Experience / Skills:
5 years experience with SAP Basis administration; 3 years experience with SAP installation and upgrade tools; 3 years experience with SAP transports, client copies, and client refreshes; 2 years experience with maintaining SAP SRM environments; 2 years experience with SAP security administration tools; 2 years experience creating and maintaining roles in a SAP ABAP and JAVA landscapes; Working knowledge of network security; Working knowledge of SAP Client management tools and techniques; Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server operating systems; Working knowledge of Technical architecture standards; Working knowledge of Oracle Database installation and tuning; Working knowledge of SQLPlus; Working knowledge of Unix shell scripting; Self motivated and can work autonomously; Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with City staff and the general public; Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing.
Job Description:
You will be responsible for day to day support for one or more products or applications that are deployed to the production environment ensuring the availability of an application or product for end users. You will provide SAP Basis Support for Top Blue Chip client. You possess knowledge of mainframe DB2, experience of SAP Webservices, assist in performance testing of new services, planning the system landscape and installation and upgrades of SAP, archiving and implementation of SAP upgrades.

# Testing: Ensures the control, integrity, and accessibility of SAP systems for the enterprise using various testing tools. Escalates when appropriate;
# System Access: Sets up new profiles, creates and updates access permissions and maintains user accounts within the SAP systems;
# Upgrades: Performs SAP system installations for upgrades and patches and logs all technical upgrade steps. Works with database administrator and SAP programming staff in coordinating system-wide updates, fixes, and upgrades;
# Security: Understands security policy and implementation .and maintains system security through the implementation of security policies to prevent unauthorized access. Reports security issues when appropriate. Works with other infrastructure security teams to manage access to the SAP systems. Performs security functions such as securing key fields, applying security set ups, object security, process scheduler and query security;
# Monitoring: Regularly checks system components for errors, takes corrective actions and escalates complex problems;
# Operating Procedures: Assists in creating checklists for standard operating procedures;
# Design and Development: Assists in the design, development and implementation of test and production objects;
# Release Management: Works with production team to schedule production release updates and upgrades. Provides production support with any updates to the schedule. Packages releases for test, pre-production and production environments;
# Performs related duties and fulfills responsibilities as required.
